The Dutch shipyard Damen has today announced that the very first hull of the Damen SeaXplorer range has been sold. Introduced to the industry at the last edition of the Monaco Yacht Show, the SeaXplorer range consists of three purpose built Polar Code compliant models from 65 to 100 metres and was developed in collaboration with Damen, Amels, Eyos Expeditions, and Azure Yacht Design and Naval Architecture.
The first model sold is the SeaXplorer 65, described by the brand as, “a crossover between professional technology and superyacht exclusivity; it has proven capability where you need it, and superyacht luxury where you want it.”
On board she accommodates up to 12 guests in all the luxury one would expect of a Dutch-built superyacht, with a crew of 20 catering to their every need. Offering her new owner 40 days of autonomy, the Sea Axe bow and icebreaking stern, and an impressive selection of tenders and toys including a helicopter, dive support boat, two zodiac RIBs, a submarine and four waverunners, the possibilities for true worldwide exploration are endless.
The first Damen SeaXplorer 65 is scheduled for delivery in 2019.
